Monday 4th of May 2026 and The Red Devil (ปีศาจแดง ก.กุมานนท์) picking me up at my room. the rest of Team Aladdin Gym (ทีมอะลาดินยิม) are in Pattaya since yesterday. They have done the weight -in and they have stayed overnight at Max Muay Thai Stadium in Pattaya.
We are leave Samut Prakan 2 o'clock in the afternoon and we are soon on the motorway heading towards Chonburi. We are leaving early as my friend's daughter want to go swimming in Pattaya. But hitting Chonburi and it starts to pour down.

Remoulade
Rémoulade is a cold sauce. Although similar to tartar sauce, it is often more yellowish, sometimes flavoured with curry, and often contains chopped pickles or piccalilli. It can also contain horseradish, paprika, anchovies, capers and a host of other condiments.
It is often used as a condiment or dipping sauce, primarily for sole, plaice, and seafood cakes (such as crab or salmon cakes) but also served with meats.
The Danish remoulade is the best there is. If they only offer the Scooby Doo remoulade, better off going to look for the "REAL THING"
The sky turned black and we realised that there will be no visit to the beach. I checked internet, no Swedish food in Pattaya, but I found one Danish restaurant. The first picture had a bottle of Danish remoulade and it was a quick and simple choice.
So, Kronborg it was and we decided to go have a look before going to Max Muay Thai Stadium.
Coming in to Pattaya and turning south off Sukhumvit Road and the traffic came to a full stop. Kronborg is located along some small alley and the traffic was not a nice experience. And there were not many options to park the car.

Kronborg
Kronborg is a castle and historical stronghold in the town of Helsingør, Denmark. Immortalised as Elsinore in William Shakespeare's play Hamlet, Kronborg is one of the most important Renaissance castles in Northern Europe. It was inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List in 2000.
The castle is situated on the extreme northeastern tip of the island of Zealand at the narrowest point of the Øresund, the sound between present Denmark and the provinces of present Sweden. The latter were under Danish control at the time the castle was built.
In this part, the sound is only 4 kilometres wide, hence the strategic importance of maintaining a coastal fortification at this location commanding one of the few outlets of the Baltic Sea.
The castle's story dates back to a stronghold, Krogen, built by King Eric VII in the 1420s. Along with the fortress Kärnan in Helsingborg, on the Swedish side of Øresund, it controlled the entrance to the Baltic Sea.
It was about 100 meters to walk from the car to Kronborg. I ask for the Danish Remoulade first thing, they confirm that they have Danish Remoulade and we take our seats. We get menus and there are a few Danish dishes.
I had not had had schnitzel for a very long time, so, I ordered one. And as I need to have something for the remoulade and I ordered one FISH & CHIPS. And of course, tea to flush it down. They only had Lipton yellow label, but it is better than nothing.
My friend ordered the traditional Danish main course: Hakkebøf, ground beef steak. Traditionally served with soft caramelized onions (on top), brown sauce, boiled potatoes and pickled beets or cucumbers. I told him that it was like a Danish hamburger, but better. His wife ordered porkchop.

We are ready to leave for Max Muay Thai Stadium
No desserts on the menu, but they had ice cream so ice cream it was. Time passed quickly and we were soon leaving for Max Muay Thai Stadium. They kick off the fights at 7 and we need to be there at 6 o'clock.
We park behind the stadium and we go to register and we get some kind of visitor ID and we have access to the whole stadium. We are just in time for the FACE OFF
The fighters are introduced, some shadow boxing and then it is the FACE OFF and they are looking angrily at each other. Trying to scare each other?
This is going on for a minute or two and Monday Aladdin Gym (มันเดย์ อะลาดินยิม) have to go see the Doctor when the FACE OFF is ready. The Doctor is sitting at the entrance to the dressing room, red corner on the right-hand side, and blue corner to the right.

The rest of the Team Aladdin Gym (ทีมอะลาดินยิม) is ready to assist Monday Aladdin Gym (มันเดย์ อะลาดินยิม) in the red part of the dressing room.
The Red Devil (ปีศาจแดง ก.กุมานนท์) start to wrap the hands and when he is ready, they start to grease up Monday Aladdin Gym (มันเดย์ อะลาดินยิม) with liniment and some ointment.

A few last tips and tricks
Mongkhon (มงคล)
A Mongkhon (or Mongkol) is a sacred, traditional headpiece worn by Muay Thai fighters before entering the ring for good luck, safety, and to pay respect to their trainers. It is usually handmade from rope and fabric, blessed by monks, and represents the spirit of the fighter's gym and coach.
Key Aspects of the Mongkhon:
• Purpose: It is worn during the Wai Kru Ram Muay ritual dance, showing respect to teachers, family, and the art of Muay Thai.
• Removal: The trainer removes the Mongkhon after the rituals are finished and before the fight begins.
• Significance: It symbolizes honour and protection; it is considered sacred and must never touch the ground.
• Origin: The tradition traces back to ancient Thai warriors who used blessed cloth headbands for protection before battles.
• Appearance: Often colourful, with colours representing traits like courage (red), calmness (blue), or honour (gold).
Acquiring a Mongkhon:
While they can be bought, a traditional Mongkhon is often earned or gifted by a trainer. Many practitioners in Thailand have their Mongkhons blessed by Buddhist monks.
Usage in Competition:
It is worn only by the fighter before the fight, not during, and is typically kept in the corner or on top of the head during the ring entrance and ceremony.
When Monday Aladdin Gym (มันเดย์ อะลาดินยิม) had his hands wrapped and he was greased up. Putting on the gloves and the last this was to put on the Mongkhon (มงคล).
Team Aladdin Gym (ทีมอะลาดินยิม) left the dressing room, they had finished the fight before our fight, and we left for the ring side. The red corner, Monday Aladdin Gym (มันเดย์ อะลาดินยิม) was left in the dressing room.
He will get up on the platform behind a curtain and he will come out to the ring via a cat walk.
By then Team Aladdin Gym (ทีมอะลาดินยิม) will already be in the red corner. The fighters were in the ring and they performed the traditional ceremony Wai khru ram muay (ไหว้ครูรำมวย)
Wai khru ram muay (ไหว้ครูรำมวย)
Wai khru ram muay is a ritual performed by participants before fighting in Muay Thai competitions.
Wai khru, or Wai kru, is a Thai concept that exists in almost all of Thai performance art - from traditional Thai music to classical Khon dance and fighting arts, such as Krabi Krabong and Muay Thai.
The ritual consists of 2 parts: "Wai khru" and "Ram muay," made up of 4 different Thai words. Wai is a traditional Thai greeting with the palms together as a sign of respect. Khru is the Thai form of the Sanskrit word guru meaning "teacher.
“Ram is the Thai word for dancing in classical style, and Muay means "boxing” The full term can therefore be translated as "war-dance saluting the teacher," but Thai speakers generally shorten it either to Wai khru or Ram muay.
At its core, the Wai khru ceremony reflects the deeply established values of Thai culture - values of respect for authority, gratitude for knowledge, and reverence for tradition. Similarly, the Ram muay is a series of choreographed movements often performed before a Muay Thai bout to show respect and gratitude to the fighter's teacher, parents, and ancestors.

Wai khru ram muay
Well, Monday Aladdin Gym (มันเดย์ อะลาดินยิม) started to kick behind one minute in to the first round. First minute and I thought that he would go down before the first round would come to the end. The blue fighter was very cocky in the first minute, but he was looking a wee bit scared and he was careful in the last minute in the first round.
I would give the second round to Monday Aladdin Gym (มันเดย์ อะลาดินยิม) but he was running out of energy in the third round. I will have to drill him when he is back in the gym.
The blue fighter was winning on points, but we were very happy with the fight, Monday Aladdin Gym (มันเดย์ อะลาดินยิม) is new to this and he will be the FIST OF FURY when he obtains a little bit more experience.

Pictures before we can return to Bangkok
No knock outs so we had to stay for the full time. Pictures have to be taken after the fights and when this is ready, we can drive back to Bangkok. A quick stop to buy some diet drinks before leaving Pattaya.
Again, very late by the time I was in bed. Now we will wait to see when Aladdin Gym will fight again. Keep your eyes out for more excitements here on www.aladdingym.net
